A long time ago, 1978 or so, when I had hair and a burgeoning music career, 707 was still trying to figure out what type of band we were going to be. We played and recorded all sorts of music. We were writing furiously and just throwing things against the wall to see what sticked.
That’s when this song came about. I knew early on that it wasn’t right for the band, even though we made a demo of it that’s barely listenable at this point. But I decided to revisit it. Turns out, the end result was both fun and musically interesting … well, I’ll leave you to be the judge of that.
It’s called “When You Go.” It’s my attempt at a little reggae. Very little. :-). Enjoy.
