I have fond memories of this day. Each year, on the anniversary of my ordination, I look back at the video of Elder Ward’s charge to me and I remember his words, my responsibility, and our enduring friendship. On that day, I was also presented with a blank book that the attendees to could write in, marking the day and wishing me success. Elder Ward also added his words.
These are the things I cherish. The gathering of friends and family to be witnesses. The fellowship of beloved brethren. The anxious hope of the journey ahead. The love and kindness I received that day and for the last 25 years.
Congrats on 25 years! We must have worked together in Glendale back in the late 80s – early 90s. I’m not really sure when it was LOL, but if you were ordained 25 years ago, it was forever!! You are an inspiration, and I enjoy following your successes. Peter and I hope to travel a bit next year, and, hopefully we can make it to Tennessee again. Wishing you much faith and joy.
